Rosa Salvaje Actor Slept on a Mexico City Median

Alejandro Landero is a Mexican actor who worked in telenovelas from the 1980s. His credits include Rosa Salvaje, Pasión y poder, Monte calvario and Un rostro en mi pasado.

In October 2025 a neighbour filmed him in Mexico City's Condesa district, on a street median on Calle Mazatlán, near the site of what used to be Plaza Condesa. The video was posted on X on 19 October and spread widely the same day. He was there with his pets, a dog and four cats.

UnoTV, citing the outlet TvNotas, reported his explanation. He said he was in a precarious situation because of some problems: projects he had planned in Puerto Vallarta had not come to anything, and he had a legal dispute over his flat, since someone was passing as its owner. He had nowhere to go, he said, and did not want to leave his animals. The article does not say how long he had been on the street.

He rejected the idea that he had been abandoned. He said living on the street was his own decision, that his in-laws had supported him, and he defended the people who were helping him, including his brother's children.

In a later video he acknowledged a difficult situation and thanked people for the help he had received. He said he already had somewhere to sleep, though he would spend the day on the median, and that his pets had enough food for several days. His stated goal was to reach Puerto Vallarta to promote awareness of neurodivergence and to train hoteliers in inclusive tourism. The neighbour who shared the video opened a bank account to raise money for a month of temporary housing.
